Thai Love to snack, but they still eat three main meals a day.

A rice-based soup containing bits of chicken, fish or pork and accompanied by seasoning ingredients might be a breakfast for Thai. In Thai Cuisine, lunch might be a rice or noodle dish. But the evening meal is the main meal of the day. It is not separated into courses but the dishes are bought to the table at the same time which includes the soup.

All food in thai dishes are eaten warm and at room temperature. Along with rice, there might be soup, a salad, a steamed dish, a stir-fry, a curry, some sauces and possibly a deep-fried dish.

Everything is shared. Dessert may simply be fresh fruit or a small custard-type dish. Tea, water and fruit juices also accompany the Thai food dish.

Thai Meat Lovers

The Thai Buddhist religious beliefs prohibits the killing of animals, but (somewhat confusingly) not the eating of meat, which happens to be supplied mainly from non-Buddhist butchers that are immigrants to Thailand.

Meat is cooked in a number of ways - in curries as well as stir-fries, on skewers, or even marinated and roasted - along with superb seasonings and spices which result in a dish that is hot, spicy, and irresistibly delicious. Beef, pork, and lamb are all served, however chicken is by far the most common, with duck yet another Thai food favorite, regularly cooked under a broiler with warm spices or herbs and soy or sweet glazes. Both chicken and pork are usually mixed with seafood like shrimp or crabmeat, and tossed with thai noodles, which - after rice - are Thialand`s main staple. Pad Thai, a mixture of rice noodles, pork, and shrimp, tossed together with garlic, eggs, chili, and peanuts, is best known of the Thai noodle dishes and is also the country's "fast-food" dish.

Thai food meat dishes are usually quick and simple to cook - curries more or less take care of on their own once the initial preparation is finished, requiring only some freshly cooked rice to serve, while stir-fries are prepared, cooked, and served basically within minutes, with meat, vegetables, and noodles all thrown in together.
